"Improving knowledge and social work skills in care and rehabilitation of children with disabilities" training workshop by the Vietnam Relief Association for Handicapped Children

On November 29-30, 2022, the Vietnam Relief Association for Handicapped Children (VINARAHC) organized an annual training program for members of the Association on "Improving knowledge and skills of social work in care and rehabilitation of children with disabilities", aiming to update new knowledge and improve skills for members to be able to perform rehabilitation and care for children with disabilities better and better.

The training took place for 2 days under the sharing of comrades in the Association's leadership board. Additionally, there was also the sharing and guidance of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hiep Thuong (Deputy of the Organizing Committee - Vietnam General Confederation of Labor).

The content within the training framework of this program is about:

1. Management of disability cases.

2. Skills and methods of social work with people with disabilities.

3. Principles and roles of social work with people and children with disabilities.

4. Social work and people and children with disabilities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Ba Duyet - General Secretary of the Central Association emphasized: Improving knowledge and social work skills in care and rehabilitation of disabled children is an essential task in the Association's work in 2022 and the following years. Dr. Nguyen Ba Duyet hopes that after this training course, the students, officials, members and families of children with disabilities at Association facilities nationwide will learn more knowledge and skills to help improve their care and rehabilitation of these children.

With the solidarity and unanimity of the Standing Committee, the Association's collective and grassroots units, we hope that in the coming years, the VINARAHC will continue to reap great successes in its relief work, care and education of children with disabilities.
