After attending a training course at Morning Star Center on speech therapy, many teachers from other provinces return their establishments and apply their learnt knowledge in their daily work effectively, contributing to raising prestige of their establishment Therefore, more parents are confident to take their children to local facilities to access the intervention services instead of sending their children to the centers that are far from their home.

It is said that ESDM, the multiple environment-based method, is the most effective intervention model for children with autism at Morning Star Center. After being applied in group context for 1 year, the model is getting more and more perfect. The center purchased the course book on G-ESDM and got it translated into Vietnamese to become a guiding materials for teachers. Besides, the participation of parents in teaching children at home was encouraged by the center to optimize the intervention outcomes for young learners.

Dated 19 and 20 May, 2018, a group of staffs from Morning Star center, under the lead of Doctor Do Thuy Lan (Director of Morning Star center), successfully organized a training session about therapy methodology, early intervention for delayed speech in kids for the teachers and the students’ parents. At the same time, Morning Star did the test and examination for those kids who have the symptoms of developmental delay and autism spectrum disorder.

From 7 April to 8 April 2018, a group of volunteers from Morning Star center organized a program named “Led by Love 2018” at Tuyen Quang province. This is Morning Star annual charity program In this program, Morning Star volunteers did  not only examine, diagnose and early detect children with autism spectrum disorder and developmental delay, but also gave advices tothe parents and gaveaway the presents to the children at mountainous area. Morning Star Center is a NGO, non-profit organization founded in 1995 under the governance of Vietnam Relief Association for handicapped chidren. The center carries the missions of providing services of early detection, early intervention for children with intellectual disabilities including Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, mental delay, sensory disorders, ADHD and developmental disorder – asperger, autism spectrum disorder. Besides, the center implements education programs including pre-primary education, vocational training programs.  

Morning Star Center locating at No. 6 Lane 9 Hoang Dao Thuy, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi is one of the centers providing early detection-early intervention high quality services. The center monthly provided intervention services to nearly 200 children with autism, developmental disabilities

Dora Foundation is a NGO founded in 2002 whose head office is located in Geneva, Switzerland. It has been operating in Vietnam since 2007. Dora Foundation follows the mission of improving competancy and living standard for low-income families. Currently Dora Foundation is implementing projects of providing scholarships to poor students, grants for building pre-schools, grants for improving IT competancy and education.

Sao Mai is the center pioneering in providing consultancy and services of early detection, early intervention for children with intellectual disabilities and autism. After 23 years of operation, the center has made many achievements. Annually, about 60 children leave the center and attend the mainstream school after their successful intervention period. Derived from the fact that the number of autistic children is increasing, while many establishments are opened only to meet the demand but quality is not uniform, not standard from the State. Intervention centers for children with autism nowadays are concentrated in large cities, but very few in the provinces. Therefore, children in the provinces (especially children from poor families) are not or are not detected, intervened in time and effectively. On the occasion of remarking Vietnam Women’s day 20th October, HIWC solemnly held the ceremony of vision award of inspring women which is granted to Doctor Do Thuy Lan, Director of Morning Star Center. Mrs. Sarah Allen, HIWC president represents HIWC to grant this award to Doctor Lan with an aim to recognizing her talent, vision and constribution in the field of early internvention for children with autism.
