EDUCATIONAL CARE
EDUCATIONAL CARE
At Morning Star Center, we use these following methods:
Child-focused approach and children’s potentials are fully promoted
Children are the guides, proactive in communication, active learning and they learn through different methods and various environments. Based on children’s characteristics, reception occurs by visual thinking and experiencing process.
Multi-sensory learning
Children need opportunities to watch, listen and do things, explore objects around, … They learn actively by carrying out actions and speaking out. They are proactive in communication, curious in exploring the world around them, this will help children acquire knowledge and living skills.
Where children are most fully developed
As longstanding active workers in this field of education, we understand that the period of a child being under 6 years old is the most important time of childhood, when children are developed the best intellectually and physically. Every kid has their own disadvantages and talents which will be most promoted if they are cared for and nurtured in an environment that encourages activeness, tenderly develops individuals and promotes different talents, pushes back children’s unwanted disadvantages!
The procedures of assessment and class division
Before getting intervention at the Morning Star center, the children’s skill development situation is assessed by the psychologist to diagnose correctly their disabilities.
The children studying at the Morning Star Center is divided into classes according to 3 criteria: chronological age, developmental age and kind of disability. Besides, in a class, the children are divided into 2 or 3 small groups to ensure the highest similarities among the children in the group so that they can be confident and the teacher can choose the best method of intervention for the group.
Each child has their own individual education program that is suitable for the ability of each child. The individual education program is built monthly or in each 3 months or in each 6 month by the teachers in cooperation with parents.
In each 3 months, the teachers in classes use the Anlook method to assess the development of each skill of children. In each 6 months, the psychologist will assess the development of the children and notify it to their parents.
