Sponsorship programs granted to Morning Star Center

Morning Star Center is the pioneer in providing services of consultancy, early detection, early intervention for children with intellectual disabilities and autism. After 22 years of operation and experience accumulation, the center made many achievements. Annually, 300 to 350 students are intervened at the center, of which 100 students leave the center to integrate into mainstream schools after the successful intervention at the center. Mrs. Khadijah, Project manager of Key asset paid a working visit to Morning Star Center. (18/06/2017)

Recently, Mrs. Khadijah Madihi – Project manager of Key asset – a company of Core Asset Group an international foster care and children’s services provider and Mrs. Siti Durriah Pitchay – Pediatric Physiotherapist and Humanitarian professional paid a working visit to Morning Star Center.

The Embassy of Germany in Hanoi made a grant of 9079 USD to Morning Star Center targeting at improving the facilities served for teaching and learning activities at the center.

On May 17th, 2017, Maria Berger, the Wife of Germany ambassador in Vietnam, Christian Berger and Ms. Franziska Lang, attaché of economy, trade and development cooperation on behalf of Germany Embassy to visit and grant a funding of 9079 USD to Morning Star Center to equip 23 new computers, 01 laptop, 01 projector. This is one of the charity projects of Germany Embassy in Vietnam basing on the financial resource of Foreign affair Ministry of Germany allocated for small-scaled projects.

MITIGATING NEURODEVELOPMENTAL SYMPTOMS IN CHILDREN THROUGH DETOXIFICATION(17/02/2017)

ABSTRACT Recent studies show neurodevelopmental symptoms are strongly associated with the concentration of circulating or stored heavy metals and chemicals. They suggest enhancing the excretion of heavy metal and chemicals decreases neurodevelopmental symptoms. This study investigates the effects of dietary supplements, NDF and NDF Plus, on heavy metal and chemical detoxification and behavioral symptoms of children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Thirty four children with neurodevelopmental symptoms were separated into four groups, tested for concentrations of heavy metals and chemicals utilizing urinary porphyrins and measuring severity of symptoms based on autism treatment evaluation checklist (ATEC). Morning Star Center is located at No. 6, Alley 9 Hoang Dao Thuy Street, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi. Morning Star Center, directly under Vietnamese Relief Association for handicapped children, was founded on December 11, 1995 by Mrs. Do Thuy Lan, an outstanding doctor, a specialist in mental health therapy, former Vice Director of Hanoi Mental Health Hospital, Director of Mai Huong daycare mental health hospital, Vice-president (1st & 2nd period) and a member of the Executive Board of Vietnamese Relief Association for handicapped children.

International cooperation in boosting rights and creating chances of social integration for children with intellectual disabilities and autism

Intellectually disabled children are those with the disabilities in intellectual development, including Cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, mental retardation, autism, etc.The level of disabilities varies from mild to severe, however there is only small ratio of children with intellectual disabilities (ID) could live independently when they grow up and even those who could live “independently” still need the observation, support of their family and the society.
