There have been recently many institutions providing care, intervention services and assessment for children with autism and developmental disabilities. However, there are only very few centers that are as professional as Morning Star Center.

To kick off a warm summer, the Sao Mai Center for Consultation, Early Detection, and Early Intervention was honored to welcome seven third-year students majoring in Speech and Language Therapy from the University Training Center of Clermont-Ferrand (France) for an internship focused on learning, exchanging expertise, and cross-cultural professional engagement. Though the internship period was brief, it left a lasting impression—not only on the international students but also on the dedicated teachers and special-needs children at Sao Mai.

Internal Knowledge Sharing Session for Quarter 1/2025, titled “Using Objects in Therapy According to the Denver Model,” was held yesterday at Sao Mai Center. This session was part of an ongoing plan to enhance the expertise of speech and language therapy teachers, and also served as a platform for sharing professional knowledge and experience across teams, with the goal of growing together. The session was led by Ms. Dang Van – leader of the individual ESDM (Early Start Denver Model) team, alongside her colleague Ms. Huong Loan, a teacher from the same team.

On February 27, Sao Mai Center was delighted to welcome Professor Erin Lafferty Schneckenberger – an expert in Pediatric Occupational Therapy and Director of Forward Steps Hanoi, along with her colleagues, to conduct a training session on “Sensory Integration Therapy” for the teachers and staff at Sao Mai.

On January 15th, the Vietnam Relief Association for handicapped children  held the conference to review its work of 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025 . Dr. Ngo Sach Thuc, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Relief Association for handicapped children, chaired the meeting. This morning, December 18, 2024, Sao Mai Center was honored to welcome representatives from Metal One (Vietnam) who visited and presented Christmas gifts to the children at the center. In an atmosphere filled with love and joy, the company brought thoughtful and heartwarming gifts to the children, adding excitement and warmth to the approaching Christmas season. This milestone marks nearly three decades of bringing hope and a brighter future to children with intellectual disabilities and autism. Today, December 3 – the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Morning Star Center extends its heartfelt wishes to all our students and the disability community. This is a moment to reflect on the extraordinary efforts, resilience, and proud achievements that individuals have accomplished throughout their challenging and inspiring journeys.

The delegation was introduced to Morning Star Center’s intervention model and its achievements over nearly 30 years in early detection and intervention, as well as care for children with intellectual disabilities and autism. Delegation members toured the classrooms, therapy rooms, and recreational spaces for the students and expressed their admiration for the learning environment and facilities at Morning Star Center.
