The children of little chicken class were taught to make moon cake

On the occasion of upcoming mid-autumn festival, Morning Star Center organized a picnic for the children with mental retardation and autism to visit museum, park, leisure center. Especially, the center  provided lessons of living skills with the topic of making moon cake to enrich the experience for children at the center.

In the lesson of living skills at Little Chicken Class in the previous week, Mrs. Ai Van and Mrs. Thu Giang taught each child how to make moon cakes. The teachers taught them to knead dough, roll dough into thin layers, put the dough into cake mold to shape the cake and make the finished cake. The whole class of 7 students is enthusiastic and excited about rolling dough and putting dough into the plastic mold.

After the 30-minute lesson, with the assistance of the teachers, the children made moon cakes with the shape of flower and lovely animal by themselves as a gifts presenting to their parents. We hope that when seeing the cakes made by the children, the parents will be moved and praise and encourage their children so that the children will make greater effort in their study and activities of improving their living skills.
